Swimming graduation

This is a bit late- but again- life is crazy and I've been a bit behind... Daniel finished swimming lessons on August 15th. Since his Lola and Auntie Sita were in town, they were able to see his last day and take pictures. Daniel loved his swimming classes- mommy was not the hugest fan (only because I'm not a fan of bathing suits and warm pools) but I loved how happy he was in them. He is quite the water boy. Here are a few of the pictures.
Here is Daniel "zooming" towards his toy. He loved feeling like he was making himself move through the water. He actually started kicking his legs while doing this- never quite got the arms going, but we have time.

Daniel loved this part of the class. He had to climb out of the side of the pool and then jump back into the water. Every so often he was reluctant to climb out- and I figured out it was because the pool was so warm- he didn't want to get out into the cold Hawaii weather :) The other thing that would happen is that Daniel would think it was funny to run away from me while he was out and I was stuck in the pool- luckily I was able to lure him back with a toy.

This is where he had to push off the side of the pool into my arms- he didn't quite get it, but liked that he got to just fall into my arms and zoom half way across the pool- so trusting.

The medal ceremony at the end of the last class- complete with a podium, Olympic music and all. He looked so proud of himself and was so happy to climb up onto the podium. I love how the smallest things can make him so happy- and he in turn makes me smile everyday.
