Preseason BBQ and Farmer's Market

Yesterday Daniel and I met Nick at a small preseason BBQ. UH starts their camp today, so this was a way to get together, relax, and see our husbands before they disappear for 5 months....It was fun. Daniel enjoyed running around with the other kids, and luckily he did not discover that their was a pool there until it was almost time to go...because after that you couldn't keep him away from it. Daniel also enjoyed hanging out and playing with Daddy...Here are a few pictures...

They say in Hawaii that rainbows are good luck...this rainbow appeared in the middle of the BBQ, and looked like it appeared out of no where...at first it was very light and then continued to get brighter. Hopefully this rainbow will bring us all luck during Nick's first season as a coach...It's very exciting, but I am nervous because it is a whole new ballgame...no longer a player and now a coach....Go warriors!
Here's Daniel chasing his friends around...He loves being around the other kids..so nice that there are several other coaches with kids.

Daniel watching the big kids play...do you see the biggest kid of them all?

This morning we went to the farmer's market that is a few streets up from our house. It's a fun place to go on a Saturday morning- mostly because it's so close and open early :) Daniel loves to see all of the people there- and there in A LOT of people- even very early! Nick was planning on going with us, but ended up having to go in early to the office...so my friend Mandi came with us instead! It's so much better to go with another adult- because there are so many people it is very hard to maneuver the monster stroller and wait in lines without someone else....and it's just nice to have company!

Hanging out in the small amount of shade, listening to Daniel's friend (the music man).

Daniel was over the stroller...and because he wasn't buckled in, he managed to wiggle his way out by himself. He was so proud, and started running down the sidewalk. He loves getting out and chasing birds, finding treasures (rocks and rubbish), and just using his legs like everyone else!

Here's mommy and Daniel eating some "breakfast". We love going and getting Beignets (basically fried dough with powdered sugar)...very yummy and bad for me breakfast...but a fun treat once every few weeks! Overall it was a fun morning, and it tired Danny Boy out- which is great! Now he's getting a good nap in, and I am able to do the 10 million things that are always but on the back burner.... :)

How fun! I love the pic of Danny watching the "big boys". Nick is such a fun Dad! BTW, you look GREAT! What is your secret to being a hot mama? Let me in on it!
