Everyday Changes

It's amazing how a child changes so much everyday. Daniel does something new and exciting everyday-he's definently keeping mommy and daddy on their toes! Daniel is getting so big, so quickly- it's wonderful and sad at the same time- I miss the days when he was so tiny, and loved to just lay there and watch everything, but I love how adventurous he is now. He is into everything! He's 25 pounds and tall enough to open our screen door! We just got him a new bed yesterday- so he's out of our bed, and in his own big boy bed! Still wakes up a few times because he's a hungry monster, but it'll all work out- tiny steps! He's getting to be a better solid food eater...but he needs tons of distractions while I shovel food into his mouth. The latest distraction is giving him a fork and cheerios.....here's the pics....

He takes the fork and tries to poke the cheerios in the hole.

Then he eats them! This keeps him occupied for a good 15 minutes- long enough to get in a yogurt and maybe a jar of baby food if I'm lucky...maybe a little indigestion- but I have to go quick- otherwise I lose him!

See what I mean? Cheerios end up all over the floor- and then he screams because he can't get out of his highchair (he's buckled in)...if he doesn't get out soon after he starts screaming then you better take cover because he's very quick and will grab the spoon full of food- and it sprays everywhere...he pretty much only eats orange things too- so it gets messy!

I wouldn't worry too much about what he is eating. He is obviously getting enough! Congrats on the big boy bed...and keep me updated on how thats going! I know it's trying at times, but you will be really glad you did it! Love ya!

Thanks for this blog so we on the mainland can watch your little guy grow up! Sounds like that though he may look just like you, Danny has his daddy's temperment...good luck with that! :) What a blessing God has given all of you and what a lovely life you have. A double edged sword indeed at how quickly they grow up and you miss those younger days. Enjoy your little man! Keep bloggin' girlie! Hearts and Hugs to all! Love U
